Recreation Services

Throughout the year, The Arc offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Every effort is made to meet the needs of our participants by offering a diverse selection of both community and facility based activities. We strive to make inclusive options available which lead our consumers to independent leisure skills development. Regularly scheduled leisure choices are offered each week throughout the year. Programs are varied and include dinners, dances, swimming, bingo, arts/crafts, special events and much more. Our Fun and Friendship Bowling League meets on Tuesday and Friday evenings. There is a summer camp offered to children beginning in July.

In addition "Arc Tracks" presents travel prospects for those who enjoy excursions to destinations such as New York City, Philadelphia, Lancaster and other destinations for shows, shopping, zoos, sporting events, amusement parks and so many other outings.

First - Arc Fishing Derby!
Join us for a fun-filled day by the water at our very first fishing derby! No experience required. Hillside Park(1188 Winola Rd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411) 6:00pm We will have all the supplies needed. If you do not want to try your fishing skills, we will have fishing games under the Pavillion!!!! A snack and drink will be provided.
Reservations are required by Monday, May 4, 2026.

Strike up the music with “John Stevens Doubleshot'' band from Channel 44! It started in Scranton and is now the number one band. They are bound to entertain ya! Everybody has a mania to do the Pennsylvania Polka!!!!! Pick your partner and join in the fun. A snack and beverage will be served!

All of Lackawanna County is invited to attend our Advisory Meeting at The Arc (Meadow Ave.) starting at 6:00pm! Bring your ideas and wish list for your 2026/2027 Recreation Program Plans! You will enjoy your own ice cream and have a social hour with your friends.

Tis the Season of SWB Railriders Baseball! Join us for a fun filled night! The stadium is CASHLESS - We have made arrangements that you can purchase prepaid parking passes and food vouchers from us or you must pay with a credit or debit card at the stadium.
Everyone must purchase a ticket to attend the game. The Tickets are $12.00, Parking is $5.00, see attached for food voucher option
