Recreation Services
Throughout the year, The Arc offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Every effort is made to meet the needs of our participants by offering a diverse selection of both community and facility based activities. We strive to make inclusive options available which lead our consumers to independent leisure skills development. Regularly scheduled leisure choices are offered each week throughout the year. Programs are varied and include dinners, dances, swimming, bingo, arts/crafts, special events and much more. Our Fun and Friendship Bowling League meets on Tuesday and Friday evenings. There is a summer camp offered to children beginning in July.
In addition "Arc Tracks" presents travel prospects for those who enjoy excursions to destinations such as New York City, Philadelphia, Lancaster and other destinations for shows, shopping, zoos, sporting events, amusement parks and so many other outings.

St. Patrick’s Day Bingo at The Arc 6:00pm
Come out and enjoy a night of BINGO and win prizes…….. We will be playing Straight Bingo, Four Corners, Diagonal and Fill The Card!!!!! We will end the night with a snack and a drink.

Sports Night Fundraiser at The University of Scranton (Byron Center) 6:00pm-7:30pm
A group of OT graduate students are having a year long fundraiser to raise $15,000.00 for a law enforcement officer who was injured in the line of duty to get a service dog. We are participating in helping raise money for their cause and having a sports night (different sports stations) with the students of The University of Scranton. All proceeds collected will go to their fundraiser. Please come out and support this great cause and have fun!

March 21st is National Down Syndrome Day!
Celebrate Rock your Socks at a Sock Hop! Poodle Skirts, Penny Loafers, Rolled up jeans etc…. 6:00pm! Misericordia University - Insalaco Building (Directions: Turn into school at the Arches, turn left and follow the road to the old building on the right, at the end of that building is Mercy Parking Lot. Once parked, follow the walking path to the Insalaco building, students will greet you.) We will “Rock” around the clock as we dance to ‘Tutti Frutti’ and songs from the fifties! Entertainment by “EJ the DJ” Snacks and drinks will be served.
